Duty Manager – Hilton Prague

As Duty Manager you would be responsible for the shift, managing all aspects of the operation to ensure that our guests have a great stay by maintaining the highest levels of service. Your leadership skills and decisions making will be key in the successful delivery of our outstanding guest experience

Our Duty Manager will be responsible for the operation during their shift and ensure that all areas are running smoothly and efficiently,

Our Duty Managers will work with HODs in every department.

Some Key Front of House tasks will include working with Guest Relations Managers and Concierge re VIPs and handling complaints. They will also support F&B areas during peak times.

KEY DUTY MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES- what will you be doing:

Ensure quality and standards are met consistently across all departments.
Dealing efficiently with all guest comments, from satisfaction and compliments to complaints. Anticipate guest’s needs, and proactively manage their expectations.
Assist in monitoring and reviewing all department procedures as laid down in the standards of performance manuals
Work closely with all department managers to support the operations and ensure daily procedures are followed; ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department.
Be proactive in reading and understanding guest’s needs to ensure minimal issues occur during your shift.
Participate in the rolling rotation for day/night guest service management and DM shifts
Have full knowledge of the hotel and all departments
Have presence in the hotel lobby and other guest areas, particularly at busy times.
Be responsible for health, safety and security for the hotel whilst on shift and stay current with all hotel products, services, policies and emergency procedures.
Support the senior management team in ensuring all legal responsibilities are adhered to with reference to Food hygiene, Licensing laws, Health & Safety, Fire precautions, Security and safety, HACCP, COSHH, etc
Ad hoc projects as directed by the Operations/Finance Directors to support Hotel business when needed.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

Czech - Intermediate (B1) or English - Intermediate (B1)

Have previous duty manager or senior supervisory experience within a Hotel environment..
Possess excellent guest service skills.
Have a passion for their role and hospitality.
Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members alike
Be capable of excellent upselling all areas of the Hotel, and other hotels in the group.
Good knowledge of Health and Safety and security procedures.
Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills.
A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
Be fully conversant in all legal and operational procedures within a Hotel
THE EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Good understanding of Hotels
Experience in a similar role
Our ideal Duty manager candidate will have previous background in FOH and/or F&B at supervisory level and above within a hotel of a similar size.
Knowledge of Opera would be beneficial, but not essential.
