Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Coordinate the overall planning process (in line with Global Operations Controlling guideline/instructions) for the production sites including required alignment to Region and Global Operations Controlling
• Accountability for reviewing local investment plans and preparing decision basis including ROI calculations in the course of the planning process
• Support simulations for different business scenarios
• Based on approved planning, calculate resulting standard costing based on Group guidelines/instructions and align with Global Operations Controlling for final approval
Financial Steering
• Accountability for cash flow management of the company
• Manage the assets of the company and align with external auditors on fair value approach
Monthly Reporting
• Assure correct and efficient closing and reporting processes within the legal entity of Chomutov in close alignment with shared central services (e.g. Accounting, Cost Accounting,…)
• Check quality and plausibility of reporting data. Ensure that monthly and year end closings are in accordance with XXX Group Accounting Guidelines and other existing reporting instructions
• Assure that meaningful commentaries for the sites are available. The commentaries should explain the performance, stress significant deviations and state any possible risk regarding target achievement
• Follow-up on reporting errors and assure high data quality
Performance Management
• Generate and maintain transparency with respect to the performance of the sites in total and its functions and entities.
• Analyze KPI development and propose actionable work packages for improvements to the Management Teams´
Business Support
• He/she plays an active part in the creation of the value based steering of the sites e.g. by supporting/providing predictive modelling, forecasting/extrapolation and or statistical analysis
• Prepare strategic decisions and implement strategic projects as assigned
• Interface with other organizational units (SBF, Operations …) to ensure availability of relevant financial data as well as support the alignment among the functions.
Compliance
• Co-ordinate legal compliance aligned with central legal department and Global Operations Controlling
• He/she closely collaborates with Global Operations Controlling on the local adaption and administration of authorization schemes for the country organizations
Risk Management
• Ensure a risk reporting according to the existing guidelines.
• Support and monitor the execution of countermeasures in order to mitigate risks.
Accounting
• Set up and review processes for approval of investments and payment of invoices
• Handling of incoming invoices, booking and approval of invoices in cooperation with Shared Service Accounting in headquarter
• Clarification of outstanding invoices and dunning letters
• Administration of cash
Intrastat
• Ensure monthly reporting of foreign trade to Intrastat
• Improve process of collection and transfer of data
External interfaces
• Accounting service provider
• Tax service provider and Financial auditors

HR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of HR department
• Spearheading HR activities and actions to support local company management in the achievement of their goals
• Ensuring the adherence to group HR guidelines & implementation of solid HR processes to ensure compliance with group as well as employee retention and motivation
• Close cooperation with European HR
• HR group reporting & statistics
• Supervision and implementation of internal communication strategy inline with APC Europe & APC Global & Camfil
• Extension of recruitment channels & building up strong recruitment network
• Support of company management in building up strong management team
• HR budget preparation & controlling including salary & payroll, HR budget and training budget
• Supervision of payroll
• Monitoring & implementation of compensation packages (position evaluation plan per group guidelines as well as implementing performance enhancing compensation systems)
