Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and internal communication. Your expertise will contribute to successful strategy implementation and change management while collaborating with our valued internal stakeholders.
Some examples of your primary responsibilities could include:
• Develop effective sourcing strategies for relevant categories, ensuring high-quality services and significant cost reduction.
• Conduct tenders and commercial exercises, including pricing, offering, and spending analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with the market, explore new equipment, services, and solutions, and seek out new suppliers.
• Carefully select and validate vendors, determining the best management approach.
• Drive activities that improve total cost of ownership (TCO), simplify processes and enhance supplier performance.
• Monitor and assess availability forecast accuracy, excess stock levels, and supplier shipping performance within your category.
• Report on planned and realized savings, tracking progress and achievements.
• Conduct negotiations and manage contracts, paying attention to quantity, delivery schedules, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, regularly reviewing and monitoring contract realization and delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and the area procurement team, ensuring smooth relationship management.

• Possess 3+ years of relevant working experience in indirect/Logistics/procurement, preferably within a matrix business environment, at a regional level.
• Demonstrate experience in sourcing within a regional scope or multisite environment.
• Showcase strong skills in supplier selection, negotiation, and international commercial agreements.
• Proven ability to participate effectively in cross-functional projects within an international setting.
• Alternatively, have 3+ years of working experience in Tender Management or Operations function with a leading Warehousing or 4PL Provider.
• Experience with implementing 3PL and 4PL solutions is highly desirable.
• Fluent English is required, and additional European languages are a valuable asset.
