Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a colleague to join the procurement team of a leading global pharmaceutical company . This assignment is ideal for an experienced Buyer or Strategic Buyer, who would like to gain international experience, support a friendly team , and work on a practical sourcing project related to capital equipment.
This is ahands-on, well-structured positionwhere you’ll support category activities and help implement sourcing initiatives at the local level.

• Support the implementation of global category and sourcing strategies at the local/site level, helping to align activities with global standards .
• Contribute to sourcing plans for the sub-category and support delivery of savings and efficiency targets .
• Provide input on category segmentation and help identify key suppliers; in some cases, manage local purchasing decisions (supplier choice, timing, commercial conditions) .
• Manage relationships with suppliers within the sub-category and monitor their performance based on consistent KPIs .
• Gather supplier data and feedback from teams across sites and countries, and support reporting for the Procurement Balanced Scorecard .
• Participate in preparing, reviewing and applying major contracts within the sub-category, ensuring conditions are clearly communicated and followed ️.
• Help resolve supplier performance issues in a timely way to ensure smooth operations and end-user satisfaction ️.
• (Where applicable) Support administrative tasks such as managing small distributions or sample coordination.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Experience in vendor management and working with larger or international suppliers .
• Ideally 3–5+ years in procurement, sourcing, equipment purchasing, or maintenance-related services.
• Ability to work with data — analysing reports, comparing offers, and navigating internal systems (Excel, procurement tools) .
• Experience with project management, problem-solving and identifying opportunities for value creation .
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to collaborate across multiple teams and business units ️.
• Comfortable working in an international environment and across cultures .
• Fluent English.
• Negotiation skills and experience working with internal/external customers are a plus .
