Engineering Program Manager Specialist

Description:
The HPE Global Operations Engineering Team directs and supports our manufacturing partners to build servers, storage, networking and racked solutions. The Solutions Engineering team supports the customisation of all these solutions in several areas including: assembly, test, rack assembly, rack test, performance optimised datacenter build, test, and shipment. We work directly with customers to understand their unique requirements and convey those instructions to our manufacturing partners.

We provide support and/or lead teams through the engineering development process and implementation of company’s products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. We also work with engineering management to identify and improve processes and program efficiencies.

How you’ll make your mark:
• You will coordinate multiple projects within a large scale program involving one or more functions driving the engineering development and implementation process for products or service offerings
• You will coordinate the activities of associated project teams; track progress against established plans, reports results, and make recommendations for alterations or updates to program manager
• You will develop program communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating project and program plans
• You will lead resources across multiple projects

About you:
• You have Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
• You have typically 2 - 4 years of experience in manufacturing
• You have direct customer experience
• You have Project / Program Management experience
• You are using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results
• You have ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
• You have understanding of organization and company product and service offering development process
• You have knowledge of project and program methodology, resource allocation plans, budgets, and requirements
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent English and Slovak/Czech
• You have ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options
• You have technical knowledge of IT industry products; their functions and components
