At IBM, we’re looking for candidates to fill a wide variety of positions for this new era in our BT/IT Organisation. IBM BT/IT plays a unique and integral role in driving key business decisions, supporting operations and influencing business results. Responsibilities: • Analyse complex requests / process changes / Infrastructure changes to assess impact on BI area • Translate business requirements into data models, information analysis and reporting in COGNOS. • Able to translate between business processes, supporting data models and reporting applications supported by the team as well as explaining these processes and models • Translate data models into technical and/or user documentation. A data modeler who has a passion for data and report development techniques. • Able to apply create, maintain and analyze complex queries • Provide support for complex problem analysis to Admin & L1/L2 Support • Maintain relationship with partner teams such as AS , business , operations and transformation . • Maintain and develop personal knowledge of expertise area • Develop and continue to expand subject matter expertise in the application area and related business process • Have a good understanding of IBM internal IW's such as BMSIW, Ledger, BI CENTRAL, etc • Have a good understanding of BRIO , SQL , COGNOS • Be familiar with existing manuals and user guides produced for service support and their source Mandatory Skills - English language written and verbal (inc excellent questioning skills) - Strong customer relationship skills - Task ownership, prioritization and time management skills, work independently - Collaboration - ability to work in virtual/international organizations and with cross function teams - Experience with server technologies such as websphere, linux, DB2, html, java - Good technical skills with compliance experience - Knowledge IBM internal IW's such as BMSIW, Ledger, BI CENTRAL, etc Desirable Skills - Experience with MVS user functions (TSO, ISPF, QMF, RMDS), VM user functions - Knowledge of COGNOS or BRIO - Working knowledge of BT&IT processes e.g. BTMS Successful candidates can use great benefits provided by the IBM company for its employees.
