Experienced Back-End Developer

The IBM CIO organization is looking for a developer to work in our Bratislava-based Agile and DevOps squad. We play a major role in delivering technology to the IBM intranet through visible projects that transform key tools used internally by IBMers on a daily basis.

Our applications are largely REST service driven and we are looking for a candidate with experience using modern development and DevOps frameworks and techniques. Requirements:

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, similar technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 plus years’ experience in cloud application development, such as JavaScript / Node.js web applications, REST services, HTML, CSS, and Java/J2EE
- Demonstrated experience in Node.js technologies such as TypeScript as well as
- REST API frameworks like Express and/or Restify
- Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Docker or something similar
- 2 plus years’ experience with Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development

Prefered requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related technical discipline
- 4 plus years’ experience in cloud application development
- 1 plus year in database development (preferably NoSQL)
- GitHub code repository
- Familiarity with C++ or Python
