Enviroment (DevOps) Engineer - Global Pricing Application

This role sits within one of many squads in the “Hardware Pricing” Tribe, supporting the ePricer global application.

Expectations include:
Become familiar with the infrastructure, application and software and connecting/related interfaces
Accountability for creating automated processes for releasing and deploying the ePricer application
Analyzing existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement such as automation and new technologies
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues under pressure.
The Chief Information Office within IBM is currently looking for an Environment Engineer with experience working in an agile delivery environment. This technical position will be part of a co-located squad in Bratislava, Slovakia and accountable for using and implementing state-of-the-art development and operations tools to support a critical application.

What do you need for success
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated expertise and proficiency managing environments and deployments on large scale enterprise applications
Minimum 3 years of implementing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipeline, and DevOps automation tools
Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins)
Strong knowledge of source control methodologies and configuration management solutions (SVN, RTC, Git)
Demonstrated experience in Middleware Application and Server Management (Websphere v8.5; MQ v9; Apache Webserver; Apache Solr; Zookeeper)
Demonstrated Agile delivery experience, Frameworks, Agile methodology.
Knowledge of scripting using shell, Python, Ansible or puppet or chef.
Experience and good understanding in any of Cloud like AWS, Azure, Google cloud.
IBM Cloud, Redhat OpenShift.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven abilities in resolving complex technical issues.
Good communication skills in a customer/stakeholder facing environment and
provide support and fix the issues related with devops and cloud.
Experience with working with ticketing tools (Service now is preferable)
Must be self-directed, resilient and creative.
Team player, ability to work with a distributed team
Flexible, willing to take additional responsibilities to understand on-premise/legacy system and perform deployments as needed
Demonstrated experience defining and implementing a DevOps culture
Demonstrated experience with IBM Cloud
