• Design, maintain and enhance the infrastructure including the security layers for a scaled and highly available cloud-based IoT platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using cutting edge infrastructure-as-code software tools
• Define monitoring alarms and standard-operating procedures (counter measures) together with software development team
• Lead continuous improvements on cloud infrastructure and monitoring system
• Operate cloud infrastructure as a Level 3 support engineer, guide our 24/7 Level 1 and Level 2 support teams
• Lead the research and evaluation of market trends in cloud technologies to shape our technology road-map

• Higher technical education (HTL), Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (other related areas) or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience in deploying and operating cloud-based applications at scale using high availability and cluster architecture patterns utilizing public cloud providers like as AWS, MS Azure or GCP
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code software tools like Terraform
• Experience with administration of Unix systems
• Experience with containerized microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
• Working experience in software development and related processes (Agile)
• Familiarity in dealing with large time series data sets (Big Data)
• Experience with modern data storage engines for time series and relational data in distributed environments like Cassandra, Redis, PostgreSQL / MySQL
