Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your Responsibilities:
• Develop, mentor and guide mechanical simulation engineering personnel in the areas of multibody dynamics, NVH, core engine structural analysis, lubrication & cooling, and package design
• Lead, mentor and assist with analysis and resolution of technical challenges encountered by teams. Continuously improve our analysis capabilities to drive speed, cost and quality
• Act as single point of contact for external service providers in the area of mechanical simulation
• Plan & lead product & technology development to meet team’s commitments. Includes the guidance of contractors and consultants
• Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external INNIO costumer using presentations, reports and records
• Create and participate in generation of ideas for innovative core engine and packaged products, systems and technologies and be a champion for generation of INNIO intellectual property
• Keep abreast of ‘industry best practices’ regarding engine and simulation capabilities & technologies, applicable processes, tools, and standards
• Manage administrative duties of external service providers including reports, metrics, budget and adherence to compliance and safe work practices
• Provide technical consultation on engine & package reliability & durability throughout the business including RCA, supplier and field support

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Your Profile:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics
• Several years of experience in an engineering capacity in the area of recip engines and mechanical simulation including dynamic, thermal and structural simulations incorporating steel alloys and cast irons
• Several years of experience with technical or functional leadership of a team of simulation engineers
• Experience in working with external service providers
• Expert knowledge on CAE software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, AVL Excite, Simpack, FE-Safe, FEMFAT and GT-Suite
• A valid work permit for Austria as a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)
