Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a SSC Lead, you will manage and coordinate the Shared Service Centre across sub-functions such as client billing, accounts payable, staff expenses, credit control, data quality and finance central service desk to meet company’s business requirements for operations in Northern, Southern and Western clusters of the CEE region. This is the top finance position for SSC reporting to the regional CFO (CEE).

You will:
- Run the shared service centre and deliver operational performance in line with defined Service Level Agreements to the business and finance departments in other territories across CEE region,
- Enact significant change management program, redefine and reallocate roles and responsibilities into the shared services centre,
- Develop world class continuous process and finance systems improve ments, manage and direct SSC process owner teams in order to drive adoption of best practice in process development and delivery
- Introduce and manage a performance culture in which work is planned and processed to meet Service Level Agreements
- Support business development and growth of SSC activities
- Ensure coordinated and harmonized standard approach with other Financial SSCs in region/globally
- Drive process standardization, manage and motivate subordinate staff performance, review and assess performance, build employee capacity, support their professional development and enable employees to to optimize their contribution to the department,
- Develop metrics and scorecard to monitor the performance of the regional SSC
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders incl. Finance Leaders from other territories across CEE region as well as regional CFO and toher regional service lines
- Hiring new staff (team 30+), implement new procedures across the organisation, stabilize the processes, prepare updated procedures, controll effectiveness of processes.

Personality requirements and skills

- University Degree in Economics/ Finance/Accounting or similar,
- Qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA), previous experience with a Big4 company is a plus
- At least 7 years of experience in a role of Chief Accountant or Financial Controller,
- Experience of the commercial aspects of outsourcing processes to third party, managing services against the contract and commercials,
- Experience of management position at SSC would be considered as an advantage,
- Strong knowledge of the continuous improvement methodology would be an advantage,
- English – advanced/fluent (both oral and written),
- Proven ability to manage a large team (at least 20+)
- Project Management experience would be considered as an advantage.
