Job description, responsibilities and duties
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing the regional strategy and process of locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the customers.
Supplier Development Manager establishes and maintains supply chains to support customer portfolio demands, in existing and/or new geographical business areas as and when business requires, considers all aspects of relationship with suppliers (including quality, value and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements) and aims to select suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help the company meet its growth objectives in line with customer expectation.
It will be your responsibility to develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies (establishing new supply chains & purchasing processes/standards) in line with global strategy defined by Global Sourcing Manager. You will actively co-operate with other HUB purchasing departments and with the Global Sourcing Manager. You will also assess, manage and mitigate risks in the purchasing procedure and liaise with Supplier Quality Assurance Manager and Global Sourcing Manager to reach performance metrics Proactively supporting the project team in order to deliver the customer’s Contract (annual savings targets, CoS, QVE etc.) will be one of your tasks as well.
This is a new position and will be based in the Bratislava-office. Flexibility to travel (Europe, up to 50%) is also required.

- 4+ years of work experience in a similar role (global sourcing, buying) in an international, preferably matrix-structured production company (packaging / automotive would be preferred)
- Overview of Quality Assurance Management and capable to follow it up at the suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Open minded, mainly open to adjust to changing work environment
- Very good IT skills (SAP or similar ERP-systems, Excel,...)
- Fluent in English, additional knowledge of German would be a plus. Slovak/Czech as a mother tongue.
