The Position

EHS Manager Humpolec Domoferm. As Humpolec EHS Manager you will be a key member of the Humpolec leadership team. Reporting to the Humpolec Plant Manager with a matrix relationship to the Domoferm Regional EHS Manager. You will be required to assist with the implementation of strategic regional EHS performance plans and objectives at the Humpolec site. Provide advice, guidance and support to the site teams to ensure compliance with company management standards and legislative requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

  1. Responsibility for the EHS Management of the Humpolec Plant
  2. Assist in the planning, implementation, and coordination of programmes to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses and environmental impact in line with European and Corporate strategy
  3. Assist and support personnel in safety and environmental hazard assessment and implementation of effective control measures
  4. Provide advice and guidance to the management team on legal compliance, best practice, strategy implementation and industry standards
  5. Assist and support management of environmental permits for associated areas
  6. Ensure compliance with company management systems Key site contact for liaison and interaction with enforcing authorities
  7. Key site contact for customers in area of responsibility in relation to EHS
  8. Compile and evaluate incident statistics to identify trends to target risk reduction and monitor effectiveness of EHS strategy at a site level
  9. Develop and deliver in house training programmes
  10. Compile EHS performance reports for Humpolec for site management and Domoferm Regional EHS Manager
  11. Liaison with enforcing authorities at a site level
  12. Attend and facilitate EHS meetings at a site level
  13. Drive positive EHS culture
  14. Oversee projects and initiatives in Humpolec to ensure EHS compliance

Technical skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably educated to Degree level
  • Professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management - NEBOSH Diploma or country specific equivalent

Languages

Written and Spoken Fluency in English required

Experience & Background:

  • Minimum 3 years EHS experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar industry
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
  • The power to influence behaviours and drive culture change
  • Excellent time management
  • Proficient IT skills, presenting skills, report writing, statistical analysis and development of training packages
