Your duties and responsibilities
Important: Due to Swiss labour laws, this role is only open to applicants with EU/CH citizenship or holders of a Swiss work permit.
· Identify, evaluate and set up new and second source production lines of manufacturers and service providers (warehouses, logistics and customs handling) globally with focus on the Asian region (India, China, Taiwan, etc.)
· Negotiate technical and commercial terms and implement legal frame contracts
· Meet on site to discuss performance, incidences and non-conformities, production forecasts/changes and new/improved production processes
· Manage daily operations in production, supply chain and international logistics to ensure proper and timely execution of all activities and tasks
· Perform annual audits and provide accurate quality and technical documentation to be distributed internally and/or externally to certification bodies
· Support the quality control team with non-conformities as well as the maintenance and operation of the company’s digital procurement and supply chain platform


Your profile
· Degree in mechanical or civil engineering combined with a higher degree in procurement or supply chain management
· Mandatory at least 5 years international professional experience in production, procurement & supply chain management preferably in products from the construction or automotive industry including iron/steel casted and machined components as well as plastic components
· Proven experience in identifying and setting up new manufacturers globally (especially in Asia and Europe)
· Excellent negotiation skills with proven track record of closing high value long-term supply contracts
· Fluent English skills and excellent reporting abilities. German preferred and additional languages are an advantage
· Willingness to travel internationally up to 2 weeks at a time (app. 30%)
