Data Transfer Engineer (IT)

French international banking group with a branch on the Czech market looking for IT Engineer specialized in Data Transfers. If you know various scripting engines, enjoy data transfer engineering, project & quality management, we were happy to have you on board.

As a part of the IT family, you will communicate with colleagues/teams from other countries and collaborating with regional and global peers, local IT departments, and other partner teams.
What your job will be about:

Data transfer engineering in terms of:

• designing, creating, optimizing data transfers between various systems and countries as well as managing documentation (main components of data transfers: CFT(cross file transfer protocol) server, SCP/SSH/FTP transfers, automatic scheduling, and scripts)


• providing support for non-production environments, co-operation on production issues


• co-operation on Incidents resolution escalation and reporting, Request fulfillment and Release Management


• handover projects deliverables into the production mode

Project & quality management:

• participation on relevant projects as a data transfer engineer


• contribution to the delivery and implementation of projects outputs


• active participation on monitoring setup

Communication & Collaboration:

• daily cooperation with various parties


• communication and collaboration with regional and global peers, with local IT departments and other partner teams


• building strong relationships with internal customers

What you need to be successful:

• Various scripting engine knowledge is mandatory (PowerShell, Bash)


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of working experience in IT environments


• English at least B2 level/ knowledge of Czech or Slovak language is an advantage


• Basic knowledge and usage of Linux, Unix, Windows operating systems


• Knowledge of data transfer protocols (SCP/SSH, Connect direct, FTP)


• Knowledge of message queueing engines, knowledge of IBM MQ is an advantage


• Practical knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Service now…)


• Knowledge of Axway CFT is an advantage


• Analytic thinking, self-reliance, and sense of responsibility


• Team working ability


• Time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities


• Clear and precise oral and written communication skills
