Head of Digital Architecture

French international banking group with a branch on the Czech market is looking for HEAD OF DIGITAL ARCHITECTURE. We welcome a creative and open-minded candidate who has a passion for solution architecture. If you do not afraid to challenge, we were happy to have you on board.

As a leader of Digital Solutions team, you will be responsible for the solution architecture team delivering projects for Czech and Slovak markets.




The role responsibility will be about 30% line management and 70% actual solution architecture consultancy on dedicated topics. The solution architect in our organization is the key responsible IT expert preparing and driving design of IT deliverables on projects and small changes.



Line responsibilities (30%)

• direct responsibility for solution architecture team (around 5 FTEs)


• ensure the proper allocation of resources: skills, budget, reporting, and identification of dependencies between different projects


• responsibility for team coaching and professional development


• take own responsibility of dedicated part of bank architecture domain – digital factory (define strategy vision & guide the projects touching this domain in desired direction, provide ad hoc expert consultancy)


• responsibility for setting up and further developing solution architecture processes, standards & patterns in our organization

Change management lifecycle involvement (70%)

• define consistent solution architectures for given requirements and context throughout all architecture layers (data, application & technology)


• definition of solution architecture deliverables (sequence diagrams, data models, functional, technical specifications,…)


• Involved during the whole project process (pre-study, IT analysis, build, deployment, test)


• prepare inputs and coordinate effort estimation from vendors


• consultation services during development and testing lifecycle


• technical vendor management


• ad hoc technical support

• 5+ years of experience in software development

(out of these minimally 3 years as a Solution Architect)

• knowledge of Java


• strong design and analytical skills: UML, Architecture Patterns


• leading a team experience


• strong communication and presentation skills


• ability to effectively interface with staff at all levels & work under pressure


• able to carry out tasks independently


• fluent English
