Senior Research Analyst – Remote

We are looking for a Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst to support the expansion of cross-industry quantitative research in Europe. This as part of our commitment to help customers planning their strategies, understanding the impact of technologies in business, with a special focus on vertical markets, emerging technologies and digital roadmaps.

 
Responsibilities

• To act as technical lead for the team, supporting database set up, data manipulation on large datasets, automation of data collection tasks


• Work on data visualization projects, leveraging a mix of best of breed and proprietary tools


• 
  
• To support custom data projects


• To build complex data models mixing structured and unstructured data and information


• To collect data and produce analysis on IT spend by industry sector and technology


• To liaise with internal stakeholders to set up data QA approaches to help deliver the highest quality to our customers

This position calls for an individual with excellent data manipulation skills as well as a strong attitude towards collaboration and communication. You need to have good experience in managing large data sets, developing sophisticated models, ensuring data quality, and delivering data visualization.

Understanding of the broader ICT market and ecosystem in Europe is as well a key qualification.

• Minimum 2-years job experience in a relevant practice (e.g. data analysis) at an IT market research or consulting firm, or in a Technology vendor


• Analytical, data-oriented, with a strong attitude to identify key business trends based on quantitative analysis. Business acumen is a plus.


• Experience in data modeling and/or reporting automation


• Mastery of data modeling tools, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA), data viz tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)


• Understanding of SQL data structures


• Proficiency in using high-level programming tools to manipulate SQL / large datasets (e.g. Python, R).


• Professional fluency in written and oral business English – fluency in a second European language would be advantageous
