Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Full Stack Developer is part of a small, specialised research and development team, reporting directly to the CEO of the Company. You will be responsible for developing customer-facing software products, both on-prem and cloud, as well as internal tools to support the R&D team workflows.
Your responsibilities;
- Design, develop and test front- and back-end software for use by customers on-prem or cloud
- Develop and test utility scripts and tools to automate workflows within the R&D team
- Develop pipelines to pre-process, wrangle and clean data for machine learning
- Expose machine learning models as APIs or integrate them into software for distribution
- Setup and oversee Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
- Oversee code quality across the development team including versioning and testing
- Evaluate, compare and recommend tools and technologies for specific circumstances
- Help develop processes and tools to improve consistency and repeatability
- Ensure that software development projects are appropriately structured and documented
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
- Help problem solve and educate colleagues about software development
- Your other responsibilities may include any other duties that we reasonably require you to do, which may change from time to time
Your qualifications;
- Excellent understanding of software architecture including web, apps, plugins, APIs, databases, security
- Experience with front- and back-end technologies, preferably HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, MySQL
- Experience using common developer tools, preferably Anaconda, Git, Github, Jenkins, Trello, xUnit
- Experience developing mobile apps, websites, desktop apps and/or software plugins or similar
- Must have at least a Bachelor degree in computer science
- Must have at least 5 years hands-on software development experience within a team environment
