Sales & Marketing Manager

The Client of Mercuri Urval is a global publishing house with long-lasting and high-profile presence in Central European markets. Their unique publishing products are based on company’s clear mission statement and strong set of organizational values.

With leading market position in The Czech Republic, our Client plans to further enhance their presence and develop their commercial stance. In consequence, Mercuri Urval is looking for an energetic and internationally oriented Sales & Marketing Manager

• overall business responsibility for company’s sales results
• managing and developing sales activities at local distributors’
• building long-term relations across their organizations
• implementation of local sales and marketing initiatives
• launching and running new business activities (new channels, new partners, etc.)
• recommending marketing activities plans and coordinating their implementation according to agreed budgets, cost control, etc.
• ensuring analysis and action plans on sales, financial and operational results; supervising invoicing processes and timely doc flow
• managing small local team
• close cooperation and on-going communications with all HQs structures involved (situation up-dates, actions planned, etc.) along with local and international teams.
• occasional business trips to Warsaw (PL) HQs.

• natively or bilingually speak Czech and have strong command of business English (written and spoken)
• show track-record in sales and business development with press distributors (dailies/magazines); running entry negotiations would be a great asset.
• are keen on building and enhancing relations with key players on the Clients’ side
• feel your leadership potential and want to prove it in daily actions with your small, local team
• are well balanced between result and relations
• show your team orientation (co-operation within local teams as well as with Warsaw based HQs; sharing information, etc.).
