Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job duties:
- DBA 2nd/3rd level support, as well as customer/project consultancy
- Change management – implementation of change requests
- Incident and Problem management – escalation to relevant support teams
- Database Housekeeping & Maintenance
- Responsible for all Backup/Restore requests
- Database Performance monitoring & tuning
- Upgrades / Patching
- Provide reporting
- Performance and capacity management
- Participate in on-call schedules, DBA hotline, weekend and public holiday support when required
- Business travel may be required

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Computer skills - programmer

Microsoft SQL Server - expert
SQL - basic

Computer skills - administrator

Microsoft SQL Server administration - expert

Personality requirements and skills

- + 2 years MSSQL Database administration experience
- Good communication skills in English (Czech is not required, German advantageous)
- Experience with SQL 2008, 2012, SSIS, SSRS (SQL 2014 knowledge advantageous)
- Good O/S knowledge (Windows 2008)
- Ability to function independently and within a team
- Proactive approach to database management
- An independent, stress resistant and responsible attitude
