Senior Platform Engineer

For our client, an innovative open-source technology company, we are looking for an experienced SeniorPlatform Engineer who will play a key role in building and operating a production-grade, multi-tenant SaaS platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, operate and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters (EKS / GKE / AKS)
• Develop and maintain the Kubernetes Operator (CRDs, reconciliation logic, upgrades)
• Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi
• Design architecture, implementation and operation of cloud based infrastructure and services including multi-tenancy and tenant isolation.
• Own reliability, scalability and performance (SLOs, autoscaling, postmortems)
• Implement security best practices (Zero Trust, Vault/KMS, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Set up observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, alerting)
• Optimize cloud costs and capacity (FinOps, rightsizing, spot instances)
• Collaborate with the open-source community, review PRs and maintain documentation

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience running containerized applications in production
• Deep Kubernetes & Helm knowledge plus hands‑on Operator development (Operator SDK, controller‑runtime, CRDs)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or Pulumi)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD / Flux, Argo Rollouts)
• Experience with design, implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure for SaaS services including logging, monitoring, authentication, authorization, backups, SIEM, ....
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, OpenTelemetry)
• Strong security mindset and experience with compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and design production-ready solutions

Nice to Have:

• Experience running open-source projects as SaaS
• Service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), policy engines (OPA / Gatekeeper)
• Chaos engineering tools (Litmus, Gremlin)
• FinOps tooling (Kubecost, cloud billing tools)
• PKI / certificate management knowledge (ACME, cert-manager)
• Experience with eIDAS or FIPS compliance
