Quality Manager

Quantum are currently working with a global Tier 1 Automotive supplier who have 26 plants globally and are experiencing a high level of success and growth. They provide components to all the major OEMs worldwide and they are now seeking a Plant Quality Manager to be based at their site in the Plzen region. The site employs 700 people with a turnover of around €80MN and the Quality Manager will be responsible for a team of 20 people including Quality Engineers and Technicians, the laboratory and metrology department.
The role of a Plant Quality Manager is to guarantee that all actions in the plant comply with the requirements of the company production systems whilst still considering customer, quality, division, business group and corporate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities;
• High level of customer interface
• Define Plant Quality Objectives and monitor progress
• Manage the Plant Quality System in accordance with the company production system
• Oversee all activities and initiatives concerning Supplier Quality Assurance

Personal Specification;

• Degree in Engineering or other relevant field
• Must be fluent in English
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a high volume, manufacturing environment – preferably automotive
• Solid knowledge of quality in product and IATF16949
• Customer relationship experience with automotive OEM’s
• Ability to deal with Quality issues in a timely and effective manner
• Experience of coaching, mentoring and leading a team
