At Merck, we are looking for an SAP Basis Administrator Specialist to join our team in Slovakia.

Your role: As an SAP Basis Administrator, you will be a part of a global team that operates SAP systems on different platforms and databases. You install, operate, upgrade, and maintain complex SAP landscapes which range from SAP ERP, SAP BW, Business Objects, SAP MDM, and SAP HR to SAP SRM and Solution Manager systems. This includes Cloud systems and a hybrid cloud / on-premise architecture. An important focus of your work is the qualification of the infrastructure GxP relevant SAP systems.

• You will be trained and examined as Qualification owner and in this role, you create and maintain Qualification Plans, Qualification Reports, Installation Qualifications, etc., and you support the company's infrastructure qualification process.
• You document SAP Basis processes like SAP system backup or SAP Data Archiving and update the process descriptions with the help of the process owner.
• You are familiar with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 / Annex 11 / GAMP™ 5 Assessment and with your ITIL knowledge, you improved existing documentation.
• Furthermore, you support internal and external audits, delivering the documentation and mitigating audit findings.

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in computer science or comparable expertise.
• Minimum of 4+ years working experience in SAP Basis Administration.
• Strong skills in the qualification of infrastructure GxP-relevant SAP Systems.
• Good UNIX, LINUX, and Windows operating - system skills and Database skills.
• Proven knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 / Annex 11 / GAMP™ 5 Assessment.
• Disciplined to work in Compliance and GxP-regulated landscapes.
• ITIL knowledge/certification is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work off hours and provide on-call support for critical business processes and projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and the German language is a plus.
