Reed is looking for a German speaking candidate with technical background, pro-customer approach and great communication skills. Our client is one of the world’s largest building materials company. This vacancy is in their global IT department in Brno, Czech Republic. The Service Desk Team L1 provides e-mail and phone support to internal employees of the company in different countries.

Who are the customers?
Internal employees in countries, where the supported language is spoken.

As a Service Desk Specialist you will
• Gain a high degree of technical competence and expertise
• Manage the Service Desk queue ensuring that requests, incidents and queries of users are dealt with efficiently
• Escalate cases to Level 2 support representatives by fielding questions and providing technical information on support issues, product compatibility, and customer configurations.
• Provide technical training (Shadowing) for newcomers.

The ideal candidate will have
• Advanced level of German and at least upper intermediate English.
• General knowledge of IT surrounding technologies – Windows 7, Active Directory, Microsoft applications, Citrix, desktop and laptop hardware, remote control software, network administration, TCP/IP, McAfee antivirus, software deployment technologies, printers, VPN.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Degree in IT related field or experience with technical support
• Strong customer service, communication and problem solving skills.

A big advantage is
• Previous experience in Support Center / Helpdesk environment
• ITIL support and delivery processes

Location: Brno, Czech Republic
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts (7.5 hour workday), start at 6am, 8am or 10.00am + occasional extra paid oncalls during evening or weekend
Starting date: Asap
