R&D škoda - connected CAR

Connected Car / Mobile On-Line Services is one of Škoda’s stategic pillars. Besides Škoda’s more than 120-years tradition in car production, Škoda decided to enter new business segments of Digital services and transform the brand Škoda into a Mobility Services Provider. This is supported by huge investments in R&D, bringing new opportunities for wide spectrum of candidates interested in application of new technologies.

Primary goal of the Connected Car team is to interconnect Škoda cars with each other and with the cloud, leading in a wide ecosystem, which will change existing look to cars. Starting with Kodiaq in 2016 Škoda model fleet supports IoT mode. We are connecting car electronics with smart phones, web applications, traffic infrastructure, Škoda brand car service stations, etc.

Connected Car allows to get real-time data from other cars, infrastructure, telematics – not only from immediate vehicle surrounding, but also from wider area using other Cloud-connected cars. We use synergies with other VW-Group R&D centers. Our goal is to do a step forward from using and integrating VW-Group technologies to active participation on their development, bringing and implementing new unique ideas, which will differentiate the Škoda brand.

For our department R&D Connected Car we are looking for technical enthusiasts, who like cars, technologies, IT, Internet, AI or managing technical projects. People who are willing to interconnect these areas and to create new digital products.
We offer the opportunity for senior experts and even fresh graduates, including the possibility to cooperate with university on Diploma- or PG-Thesis.
In our team we communicate in English. Czech and German languages are an advantage.
