What is your role about?

• Be responsible for software development in tandem with hardware development of the engine and the entire vehicle.
• Perform parameterization for individual vehicles of the group and markets, fuel quality, and environmental conditions.
• Basic calibration (ignition timing, fuel mixture dosing, camshaft position control).
• Power characteristics and torque curve, including engine homologation.
• Cold start and transitional compensation.
• Emission behavior and fuel consumption.
• Driving characteristics and driving assistants.
• Test and perform parameterization on engine brakes or in emission testing labs.
• Test vehicles under extreme climatic conditions in laboratories or at testing grounds in Europe and beyond.
• Test vehicles in local conditions of the target market (Europe, Asia, Africa).
• Evaluate problem areas, classify them, and consult with legislative experts if necessary.

What do you need to know and have?

• Completed university education in a technical field with a focus on mechanical engineering (suitable fields: automotive and transport engineering, internal combustion engines).
• Proficiency in English (level B2) and German (level A1) for daily communication with international colleagues and suppliers; some of our internal meetings are also in English/German.
• Professional experience: 1-2 years in the field.
