Functional Safety Manager

We are looking for experienced freelancer / consultant who can work as external Functional Safety Manager for our company and help us implementing and maintaining Functional Safety Management System and safety culture within our organization. As Functional Safety Manager you will support us in managing all functional safety related tasks to ensure that all Customer’s requirements are met.

Main duties:

• Develop from scratch and maintain company-specific policies and processes related to functional safety according to ISO26262; create and implement all necessary procedures, instructions, forms, tools, etc.
• Participate in development process of safety related new products (Safety Element out of Context) according to ISO26262 and Customers’ requirements, own the safety plan and manage all safety activities
• Define project deliverables and relevant work products as required by ISO 26262
• Perform all necessary analysis (eg. FMEDA, FTA, FMEA, DFA, HARA) and manage creation of all safety work products (eg. safety plan, safety case, assumptions of use, safety goals, safety concept, DIA)
• Establish and maintain all functional safety relevant internal and external interfaces (e.g. customer, key suppliers, development team, manufacturing sites)
• Cooperate closely with customers and key suppliers to analyze provided safety requirements
• Support Functional safety assessments and audits
• Help promoting a safety culture
• Conduct resource management related to Functional Safety
• Monitor the escalation process for functional safety
• Deliver training on the use and implementation of the functional safety processes to other team members

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree
• Strong knowledge and commercial experience in managing functional safety related tasks according to ISO26262
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in Automotive industry and knowledge of IATF16949 requirements
• Proficient in English language (spoken and written)
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Experience in working with certification bodies to gain product certification to ISO26262

The work will be mainly remote, but there will be a need to visit the factory in Bialystok from time to time, especially in the initial period.
