Embedded C/C++ Firmware Developer (Autonomous Drone System)

We are looking for an experienced Embedded C/C++ Developers for a project involving the development of an autonomous drone system equipped with advanced on-board computer vision and real-time decision-making capabilities.

The role is project-based, estimated at 30 man-days, with the possibility of future collaboration on similarly innovative systems.

Project Overview

You will work on the integration between an AI-based vision system and a flight control unit. The AI model is already trained and will be provided — your responsibility is to develop the firmware that enables seamless communication and command execution between the edge device and the drone’s control system.

What You’ll Do

• Develop embedded firmware for Single-Board Computer.
• Enable reliable communication between the edge device and a drone’s flight controller using protocols like UART, I2C, or SPI.
• Ensure low-latency and high-reliability execution of control commands based on AI system output.
• Collaborate with our team of AI and drone engineers to integrate all systems into a functional prototype.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ development (bare-metal or RTOS-based).
• Practical experience with single-board computers such as NVIDIA computers.
• Familiarity with communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C.
• Experience working with flight controllers (e.g. ArduPilot, Betaflight, PX4) or robotics systems.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a remote team.
