Job description, responsibilities and duties

Independently check, execute, solve (where appropriate), and creates tickets (problem ticket, change management ticket, incident, delivery order (DO) in order to maintain service to customers according to given quality KPIs and internal processes (INM, CHM, PRM, DOM). 2nd level environment.

- Administration of Backup environment based on Netbackup and IBM Spectrum Protect
- Administration of NAS storage environment in order to maintain uninterrupted service to customers
- Administration of SAN storage environment in order to maintain uninterrupted service to customers
- Administration of enterprise storage and backup environments
SAN, NAS and backup platforms and components of all major vendors: HDS, IBM, EMC2, NetApp, Symantec, Brocade, Cisco
- Management of filers, SAN switches, tape libraries, disk arrays and related infrastructure
- Design, implementation and operation phases of the service life-cycle
- Operation according to the T-Systems process setup (based on ITIL: incident management, change management, problem management, knowledge management…)
- 3rd level support and project work
- 24/7 on premises staff rotation or 8/5 + OnCall duty where requested

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Experience of system administration ( preferably UX based systems)
- Administrator-level knowledge of at least one server operating system
- Understanding of the network concepts (TCP/IP family of protocols, Ethernet, NFS, CIFS, …)
- Scripting skills (shell, Perl, Python, …), Exposure to enterprise backup or storage environments is an advantage
