Job description, responsibilities and duties

General Description
- As a Business Analyst as part of a SCRUM Development Team, you will be responsible for being the translator between your Business Customer, from whom you get your requirements, and the Development Team members, who need to convert the requirements into usable software features.
- How smooth this process is will largely depend on your understanding and preparation of the topics at hand.
- Most of your time will be spent asking questions of your customer, until their requirements are clarified to such a level that it can be worked on in an efficient way.
- You would need to understand how the business works, why your customers are asking you specific questions, identify conflicting requirements, as well as be an objective participant who can see both the Business side as well as the Development Team side when opposing views arise.
- You will go over input scope and interface documents, as well as being able to interpret and produce documents for the software such as design documents and interface agreements yourself.
- You will be able to work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure that the constant flow of clarified User Stories is ready to be worked on by the Development Team with minimal impediments and well defined Acceptance Criteria.
- You will be able to work closely with the Product Owner to confirm that initial User Stories matches the customer requirements as well as fit in with the overall strategy with the software product.
- You will help the the Development Team and the Product Owner at Product Review time, to most efficiently demonstrate to the customer, the compliance with the Acceptance Criteria.

- Holds meeting with stakeholders to understand business processes, main business data and their relationship and provides deep analysis
- Negotiates, elicits business needs and requirements with the customer to guarantee quality of analysis and implementation in wishful output
- Assists with the translating of business needs and requirements into clarified User Stories.
- Creates requirements detailed documentation incl. requirements changes tracking and high level tracking of requirement’s implementation
- Designs system model independent of platform (mostly in system architecture, behavioral / data models) to have space for customer to choose suitable platform by himself
- Provides high level modeling of business processes and main business data for imagination and agreement with customer and developer (using BPM)
- Works closely with Customer, Product Owner, Scrum Master and Developers.
- Makes sure that the documentation required for feature implementation is - effectively available for those who need it.
- Provides methodical support to customer (assistance, advice to business users for effective usage of the system).
- Makes proposals for optimization of processes by identification of business process improvements, participates in process documentation creation, identifies options for system features improvement, for performance improvement in order to have system efficient for customer.
- In case of need provides reverse engineering of existing system and its data to build new system from older one.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by higher management (e.g. official presentations, business case model, feasibility study).

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- specialization in object oriented programming language

- 5+ years of experience within the field of application programming in object oriented programming languages including middleware, advanced knowledge of operating systems, database operations (e.g.MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle incl. connections to DB, backup and restore procedures, configuration of DB, stored procedures, functions ) , HW infrastructure interfaces, system analysis.

- Working knowledge of software development methodology (e.g. Agile, SCRUM) , Web services, XML, UML, WSDL, XSD, BPMN. Previous exposure to versioning tools ( like GIT, GitLab), basic in build tools like Gradle, Jenkins, ESB busses, JAVA MySQL, CI/CD pipelines, Docker would also be advantageous.
