Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description
Creates and maintains all databases required for production, development and testing usage. Responsible for ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of the database file structure of databases. Independently check, execute, solve (where appropriate), and creates tickets (problem ticket, change management ticket, incident, delivery order (DO)) in order to maintain service to customers according to given quality KPIs and internal processes (INM, CHM, PRM, DOM).

• Maintenance of DBMS standards
• Administration of DB parameters and DB components on system level on the DB server
• Clean up the protocols, traces, audit files and temporary files
• Implementation of the security
• Administration of database connections on the database server
• Administration of the file system mounts and the customer’s IP network of the database instance
• Operation of DB clients on the DB server
• System user administration
• User management on DBMS level
• Incident, change and problem management
• Release and patch management
• Backup and restore
• Conformity with the internal work instructions and process guidelines within T-Systems.
• Follow the defined escalation standards in case of deviations.
• Investigate the root cause of incidents and initiate actions to improve or correct the situation.
• Participate on regular and/or irregular communication with colleagues in an international environment to ensure operational goals.
• Participation on on-call duties , independent solving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise
• Coordinates the use of internal technical support and vendor support to ensure troubleshooting, maintenance, and an efficient end-user support.

Wage (gross)

890 EUR/monthMinimum base salary 890 € + variable part + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
