ABOUT THE ROLE
Technical Programme Manager manage IT programme of given Product(s) in People (HR) stream with variety of technical disciplines including Product and Software Engineering and deliver challenging, complex, cross-functional technology projects and programmes that support our colleagues and help serve customers better.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
As a Technical Programme Manager in HR area you:
- Take care of the entrusted technological application platform of a larger scale, so that it is in accordance with internal infrastructure and security standards
- Create and track a plan to deliver the programme goals, including the technical implementation plan
- Master Product(s) backlog in JIRA, moderate backlog meetings, like grooming, prioritization, delivery onboarding
- Setup and manage stakeholder communication and governances
- Manage resources, influence technical direction and coordinate the development of Technology and business facing products
- Define and track performance against customer and business KPIs
- Manage budget for dedicated programmes
- Manage Risks and Issues and influence multiple dependent teams
- Facilitate discussions, and manage escalations
- Understand trade-offs in delivery, using experience and influencing skills to drive consensus with our Business, Technology and Engineering teams to obtain the best value and solution
- For dedicated programmes work collaboratively with engineering and product team to ensure efficient support, management of major incidents and service improvements
- Manage relationship with internal technology and business stakeholders
- Build and maintain close relationships with suppliers & external stakeholders to deliver software or professional services including relevant contractual support
- Be also one of team members, work on Functional design, Testing and day to day functional support
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement in team ways of working, explore opportunities to adopt trends and new concepts in programme delivery for your area
- Coach peers and other roles, teaching where required, on methodologies and programme management tools and coach/mentor on leadership
- Play active role in technology community
PREREQUISITES FOR THE ROLE
3+ years in a Technical Project/Programme Manager role and strong technical and product management with project delivery background. 3+ years of experience with hands-on system engineering work.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven record of accomplishment in delivering technology programmes, using traditional and agile methodologies
- Strong technology background - Understand technology concepts, grasp new ones quickly and appreciate their implications on delivery
- Strong leadership skills – excellent communication, influencing skills, prioritization, decision making
- Ability to build credible relationships and influencing senior management
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Open-minded, independent and practical thinking. Enthusiastic, and responsive person with the ability to plan and organize, team-player
- Ability to demonstrate resilience during change and continue delivery
- Experience with planning and implementation of procedures for risk management
- Ownership and commitment towards assigned projects/programmes
- Experience with Software delivery in agile environments, understanding of end-to-end development lifecycle
- Knowledge of Technology and Security standards (system integration, patching, databases etc.)
- Able to understand and drive a technical architecture discussion to be able to foresee the impact on dependencies, delivery timelines and implementation plans
- Have good knowledge of System, Software and Data engineering and implementations of best practices to appreciate delivery challenges
- Practical knowledge of System Engineering work (OS support – Win & Linux, Network, scripting, etc.)
- Experience implementing Cyber Security standards and principles
- Experience with addressing GDPR requirements and risks
- Experience with covering system resilience, disaster recovery, backup & restore, etc.
- Awareness of Service Management principle, especially incident and problem management
- Problem solving and good analytical skills
- Financial awareness
- Fluent Czech/Slovak and English languages
- Willingness to travel occasionally (across Europe)
ADVANTAGE WOULD BE
- Retail Technology Awareness, HR system experience
- Good knowledge and practical experience with System/Network Engineering work
- Experience with work in international environment
- Hungarian language
The job requires to be located in/close to Prague.
