Job description, responsibilities and duties
Take the lead in scaling sustainability services for Sellers on Amazon! You will help creating more sustainable disposition channels to eliminate waste.
Over the past 20 years, Amazon has reinvented on behalf of the Consumer and has become the largest internet retailers and marketplaces in the world with more than 152 million active customer accounts, more than 2 million active seller accounts, and over $136 billion in revenue globally. Our overall mission is simple: we want Amazon to be the place where our Customers can discover and buy anything online. In line with our vision, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) delivered more than two billion units on behalf of Sellers in 2016, and the number of active Sellers using FBA grew more than 70%. Using the FBA service, Amazon Sellers from more than 130 countries fulfilled orders to Customers in 185 countries.
Fulfilment By Amazon (FBA) has embarked on an ambitious program to help Sellers recover value while creating more sustainable and responsible disposition channels to eliminate product waste. We are developing, piloting and scaling multiple services and programs to improve the sustainability of our Marketplace business. As part of our ongoing commitment to Sustainability, and to our continuous improvement approach, we are hiring a Partner Manager in our Consumer division to scale Partner Management activities for the FBA Liquidations program.
Key job responsibilities
- Managing Partner relationships - manage contracts, own day-to-day relationships and negotiate to optimize sellers and liquidators’ performance; ensure Partner long term satisfaction
- Understand the customer needs and identify the correct input metrics that drive growth and improve the end customer experience, in collaboration with Product and Operations teams.
- Contribute to business strategy development. Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor the performance of your business partners.
- Manage the Partner Onboarding process, from lead generation to launch. Lead recruitment and on-boarding activities of new Liquidation partners to improve product category diversification, capacity and Liquidation recovery rates. Optimize the onboarding process to support high business growth.
- Identify, optimize, and scale improvements that can benefit a large set of Partners. Work closely with Business Support Operations team to identify and resolve root causes of disputes/process issues and minimize Customer Service contacts and case handling times

- 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Partner Management, Sales or other relevant experience
- Experience securing partnerships with complex, sophisticated counterparties
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Sufficient analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business ‘by the numbers’
- Excellent attention to detail and good business judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities smoothly
- A willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done. You will be working in a start-up or early stage environment where you will be defining best practice for your function.
- Ability to travel occasionally. Expected travel 10%.
- Experience securing partnerships with complex, sophisticated counterparties
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Sufficient analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business ‘by the numbers’
- Excellent attention to detail and good business judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities smoothly
