Job description, responsibilities and duties

Working hours: US working time ( 2pm - 10:30pm EMEA hours)

Technically lead the design and installation of network infrastructures and services, working in a mainly Cisco vendor environment. Creating design documentation in line with best practice principles and account standards to achieve world class network solutions for an AT&T Multi-national customer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The following list specifies general roles and responsibilities of what is expected of the Junior Network Architect:
Carry out the design and implementation of network projects assigned to you, using established processes, best practice principles and configuration against account standards in a timely and quality manner.
Understand the architectures and designs standards within the customer environment for all network technology areas.
Apply these in all new HLD and LLD project designs.
Work closely with the AT&T BAU account architects where existing documentation is not clear or new technology or functional requirements are to be introduced.
Definition of technical configuration standards and overall technical management of installations for network technologies.
Attend Design Advisory Board (or similar) meetings and collaborate with architects from networks and other technology domains.
Provide technical leadership for network integration of cross tower services, and transform high-level network solutions into detailed implementation designs
Support AT&T Project Management in project planning activities. Identify the scope of AT&T work and those dependent tasks that sit with the customer their suppliers.
Attend and support customer meetings with AT&T PM to provide technical options to address project challenges.
Guidance in the delivery of projects to project management and engineers.
Ensure day to day operation of the customer business is not impacted by network project changes.
Support early engagement activities to scope new project demand and identify high level approach to deliver.
Be able to articulate and demonstrate through measurement the success (or failure) of the overall network architecture and designs
Peer review of technical Architect’s solutions for consistency of approach and design. Understand the AT&T Strategic view, SLA and Service Standards and look for opportunities to apply to all customer networking requirements.
Consider the AT&T customer account support and service model and ensure designs are in line with support capabilities.
Produce quality high-level and detailed designs for campus and data centre networks. Create low level configurations for a variety of Cisco and other common network vendor devices.
Produce Network Test Plans and acceptance criteria.
Assist network engineering personnel with the complex implementation issues and problem determination.

Education and Qualifications:

Mandatory qualifications: Cisco CCIE R&S.
Desirable Qualifications: CCDE. CCNP Wireless, CCNP Security
network management products, ie. Smarts, Action, Voyance, Vitalnet
4 years minimum practical experience working with network technologies within campus and data centre networks.
Proficiency at the techniques that go into the formulation of architectures, including requirements discovery and analysis, application of abstraction, formulation of solution context, solution alternatives identification and assessment, technology selection, and architectural configuration
Ability to produce well structured and written documentation (Microsoft Word and Visio). Ability to liaise and debate across technology boundaries. o Knowledge of architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Frameworx, PEAF)

Additional Information:

For Slovakia: Salary from 2120 € brutto per month. Actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
