General Summary:
As a Distribution Planner, you will provide expertise for the CMS business unit. You will execute against standard processes, reports, methods and techniques to optimize and manage the end to end planning process, ensuring we meet our Distribution Planning strategy in respect to Supply and Demand activities Globally
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Daily execution of all supply and demand activities
o Daily scheduling of new demands in SAP within 48hrs
o Create and maintain supply orders in line with demands
o Daily MRP execution for all requirements planning
o Maintain date accuracy on all supply and demand orders under your control
• Full control and ownership of the end to end distribution planning process
o Track internal & external supply orders to ensure they ship on time
o Manage and Escalate any shipment delays that may affect customer ship dates
o Ensure supply is available on time to make physical shipment to the customer
o Communicate with logistics & external parties to provide updates on incoming supply, expediting the process where possible
• Attend daily meetings with the Logistics team to ensure materials are available to meet the daily/weekly shipment plan
• Monitor and report on packed on hold orders that will affect revenue target
• Manage any shortages or priority allocations with the Demand Planning team
• Communicate any delays or changes with relevant Customer Service Representative or receiving planner
• Closely communicate with vendors, Local Manufacturing planners/Demand Planners & procurement to resolve delivery issues
• Collaborates with procurement on PIR and source list creation where required
• Analyze safety stocks & forecast to provide recommendations to the Demand Planning team on changes
• Monitor and report on inventory and turns levels in region
o Analyze and report on slow moving inventory
o Analyze Business Objects & Business Objects Explorer reports to report on Global Key Performance Indicator’s

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• 5+ years’ experience of MRP systems (Specifically SAP preferred) in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution planning environment
• APICS certification preferred (CPIM, CSCP, or CIRM)
• Expertise in Global Supply Chain Operations
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with personnel of various levels and disciplines
• Flexibility to be able to travel globally on occasions and/or work remotely across various time zones
• Fluent English Language skills - verbal and written
• Effective PC skills - MS Office
