QA Engineer (Big Data) – Banking

The Big Data QA Engineer will work alongside experienced and junior big data engineers on quality assurance of mission critical projects, applications and platforms using the most modern Big Data technology stack and introduce proven and best practice experience to the Big Data development testing area.

Your Role
• Help the engineers design and implement generic and scalable testing frameworks and approaches for big data applications and platforms
• Bring a quality assurance culture into the big data initiative
• Help the teams define processes and structured approaches for test case definitions, unit testing, continuous integration, regression and other types of testing
• Development of automated testing for both back-end and front-end applications
• Develop tools and/or testing frameworks which may be missing in the current big data environment
• their subsequent open sourcing
• socialising with the open source community
• attending commercial and academic conferences
