Billing Specialist/Accounts Payable

Financial Accountant (Accounts Payable)
Locations: Prague

Role Summary:
The Financial Accountant (Accounts Payable) will be based in Prague and will report to the AP Regional Team Leader. Also interacting with other departments, like Tax, Operations, among others.

Main Responsibilities:
• Process invoices according to internal procedure and country requirement,
• Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
• Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
• Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
• Type periodic reports and other records.
• Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures.
• Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable),
• Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• To administer VAT returns and any other local regulatory compliance items as directed by the FD.
• To assist the FD in any budgeting or forecasting that may be required.
• Review central databases for accuracy and completeness (data cleansing),
• Assist FD in various projects such as: Subsidy request, Tax audit, Revenue project.
• Ad hoc project work for Finance Director

Ideal Candidate Profile:

· Experience of Telecoms desirable
· Oracle experience an advantage
· Professional communication skills both written and verbal
· Self-starter with the ability to work in a team and individually.
· Assertive individual to manage processes and inter-departmental contacts effectively

Essential Criteria:
· Fluent written & spoken English
· Advanced Excel knowledge and knowledge of accounting systems

Desirable Criteria:
· Experience in multinational environments
· Oracle/Fusion
