As a UI/UX Developer, you will work on front desk Graphical User Interface (GUI) development. You will be sitting on the trading floor, and interacting directly with quants and execution traders on the daily basis. The main purpose of your role is to develop and improve a real-time electronic trading platform. The focus is specifically on the improvement of our rich proprietary GUI written in C# / WPF.

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining and improving various GUI screens used for options trading and system monitoring
• Profiling and analyzing GUI performance with the objective of improving usability and user responsiveness of screens
• Building new features to support trader needs and expanding set of backend trading strategies
• Improving client-server data interactions with the objective of increasing scalability
• Working actively with traders to gain feedback and improve GUI performance and richness
• Augmenting backend GUI server where required to support front end
• Developing broader backend infrastructure which includes, but is not limited to, market data feed handlers, exchange order entry interfaces and trading strategies

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience with C#/WPF
• Experience with concurrent / asynchronous programming
• Previous experience with memory and performance profiling using profiling tools like ANTS, DotTrace etc.
• Familiarity with Reactive programming and Linq expressions

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Solid communication and ability to articulate ideas and thoughts well
• Practical approach to requirements gathering and problem-solving
• Experience with low-level Java and experience with Scripting / Python
• Experience with financial markets would be beneficial
