IT Systems Administrator

The IT Systems Administrator provides support and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, computer systems, applications and network infrastructure, as well as providing timely, and accurate IT support and customer service to the company's internal users.

The company produces large Television and Film projects, with emphasis on high security and efficiency across the corporate LAN. MCP certification or related tertiary qualification highly regarded. Ability to manage a Linux environment highly desired.

Key Accountabilities
- Maintenance and monitoring of company servers, network infrastructure and business applications
- Optimising routing and network traffic
- Providing IT support for a small team (10)
- Workstation / Virtual machine builds, software installations and system configuration / upgrades
- User account security and administration
- Automating common tasks utilising IT administration systems and basic scripting
- Updating existing IT systems when relevant upgrades become available
- Liaising with 3rd party hardware suppliers and software support providers to resolve issues
- Maintaining a knowledge base of common IT tasks and fixes
- Administration of backup jobs and daily systems checks
- Manage and implement high level of IT security, meeting security requirements of major clients
- Manage and implement backup and DR
- Assisting with ad-hoc IT projects
- Updating documentation
