Job description, responsibilities and duties

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior cybersecurity analyst or specialist to join and lead the team in Bratislava (in an international pharmaceutical company). Do you want to help lead Incident Response operations as well as be a trusted cybersecurity advisor to the business? In this role, you will lead your team during their shifts (morning/afternoon). You will also work closely with other leads and the IR Manager on innovations and driving efficiency within the Incident Response team.

Your responsibilities:
• lead the shift and make sure your team knows what to do
• develop and support your shift in becoming their best by training and coaching
• handle incident escalations as necessary from analysts
• perform initial analysis, identification, remediation, and documentation of network intrusions and computer system compromises
• perform basic malware analysis and forensic analysis of network activity, disks, and memory
• work on identifying and analyzing threats and formulating remediation steps
• support 24/7 security coverage across the entire organization (morning/afternoon shifts)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• experience with leading a team
• incident response experience (3-5 years)
• experience with SOAR, SIEM, and EDR solutions
• advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• strong analytical skills in threat, vulnerability, and intrusion detection analysis
• keen understanding of threat vectors as well as exfiltration techniques
