Senior Telecom Engineer

GENERAL TASKS:
• Oversight and review of the detail design documentation produced by a third company relevant to following telecommunication networks: telephone, data, intercom, radio, synchronization and wireless;
• Cable trays and conduits layout design including filling check in support of telecommunications and networks;
• Power & control cables (including fiber optics) design and routing in support of telecommunications and networks;
• Continually ensuring the detail design of telecom systems is in keeping with project requirements, current legislation, local and international Standards and Codes of Practice;
• Prepare and take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for clashing resolution related telecom equipments arrangement and related cable trays;
• Support to Commissioning department during star-up phase (individual and functional tests of telecom networks and relevant equipments).

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of main telecommunication systems and relevant equipments.
• Experienced skills in identify and check detailed design field engineering solution on:
o Cable ways definition and segregations strategy optimization;
o Cables routing and definition criteria according to the project requirements;
o Telecommunication devices arrangement as per segregation and separation criteria’s;
o Structured cabling system, Public Addressing, phone, radio.

REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 10 years relevant experience in the Telecom detailed design of a complex project;
• Past experiences in “Nuclear Plant Design” will be considered a plus, VVER plant design knowledge will be preferred;
• Good knowledge of English;
• Good communication skills;
• Problem solving attitude;
• Independence with team work capabilities;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
