Plant Manager

An international manufacturing company occupying a strong position in the world market located in South Moravian region is looking for a seasoned top manager who would take over the plant.

Responsibilities:

The position-holder will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day decisions and operations in the plant, including budget control. Main responsibilities in this area are the following:

External:
* Has the authority for the approval of RM-, Energy- and Service contracts
* Can approve external training for employees
* Maintains cooperation with the landlord
* Represents the company in contacts with local authorities and other employers
* Supplies all necessary data and statistics to the authorities

Internal:
* Presents to the VP of Operations:
- Annual budgets for cost, investments, capacity and headcount
- Target setting for operational performance
- Technical development proposals

* Has the authority to decide on:
- Hiring of required personnel
- Setting and evaluating personal objectives of direct reports
- Implementation of local procedures in addition to corporate procedures

Requirements
Several years of experience in a position of Plant Manager or Operations Manager in an international manufacturing company (FMCG or automotive experience is advantage)
Job-holder must possess a high level of sensitivity to the audience to be able to modify the beliefs and opinions of others and negotiate for the final outcome.
Able to communicate in English and Czech with colleagues in an international environment
Have full understanding of how the Czech organisation integrates within the business and an awareness of the industry and customer requirements.
Will have an in-depth knowledge of theories and practices of a function that is key to the business. This includes quality, operations, logistics, cost, development and budget structure. Will provide leadership the local MT in order to fully utilize the management potential in this team
