Committed to excellence, we are currently looking for a high-quality individual to join our team as Internal Controls Manager

Purpose of the role:
The Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective internal controls both form a design and operating effectiveness perspective.
Ensuring that SOX controls are self-tested by mgmt. and performing some of the testing as appropriate.
Taking the lead in ensuring that Internal Controls roles and responsibility is clearly defined during transitions.
Full responsibility of specific internal projects or audits.
Written and oral presentation of findings to all levels of Company management is required.
The individual may also be involved in special operational projects, department projects and administrative duties.
Travel up to 20-50%.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly/qtrly dashboards to track progress of mgmt. self-testing and controls deficiencies
• Help to develop remediation plans for controls deficiencies and track remediation progress.
• Supervise the timely and effective accomplishment of departmental administrative tasks related to planning and performing audits and other projects.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the effectives of internal controls and/or rationalize as appropriate.
• Coordinate the mgmt. self-testing of SOX controls – leverage standardized testing templates and optimize sample selections.
• Perform SOX controls testing as appropriate for SSE.
• Be the focal point of contact with internal audit for GBS related internal controls discussions and deficiencies.

Personality requirements and skills

- 6-8 years of recent auditing experience or a combination of audit and accounting and finance experience of which minimum 3 years must be from audit, a significant portion of it on site in Europe.
- Experience should be with a public accounting or industrial firm with significant exposure to multinational operations and/or Global business services.
- Strong knowledge of internal control theory, and current GAAS and GAAP. This knowledge must cover the EMEA region
- Fluency in English
- High energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment that strives to exceed expectations.
- Strong ability to highlight and communicate opportunities for improvement within the organization
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Interacting well with different types of people and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
-Possess strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, CMA, and CISA, or similar international certifications.
